A vote is NOT a Valentine, you aren’t confessing your love for a candidate.  Consider it a chess move for the world you want to live in. – C. Richard Archie

EDITORIAL

Kris Bancroft, Editor

We’ve all heard of Mr. Biden’s proposal to do away with a provision that stems illegal immigration, known as “Title 42,” but few people seem to know what it is and how it works.

Title 42 has a rather ugly history.  It is a part of the US Code (Federal law), that was written in 1944; its stated purpose was to protect Americans from exposure to diseases brought in by immigrants.  Actually, President Roosevelt used this law to turn away refugees, specifically Jewish refugees, who were desperately seeking asylum from Nazi-controlled Europe.  (Most of those Jewish people who went westward took asylum in Cuba, Chile, and Argentina.)

As far back as 1985 we began hearing reports that a significant number of illegal aliens captured at our southern border carried various communicable diseases including: various forms of tuberculosis (some of which are both highly communicable and have no known treatment, malaria, hepatitis, polio, measles, mumps and HIV.  To make matters worse, we learn that hundreds of individuals carrying various undetected strains of COVID are being captured on a daily basis.

It is blatantly clear that illegal aliens form a significant health risk to all American citizen but now, Mr. Biden wants to do away with the screening process.

In the week before Easter and Passover, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R-TX), appeared on the Larry Kudlow program (Fox Business Network).  He informed us that if the immigration restrictions in Title 42 are removed, within a year, illegal aliens will comprise 20% of the population of the United States.  That’s sixty million illegal aliens!

Mr. Patrick clarified his remarks by reminding us there are currently >30 million known illegal aliens residing in the United States, and this figure comports with estimates from other credible sources.  He then went on to share data from Customs and Border Patrol, which has predicted an additional 30 million “migrants” will cross our southern border over the next two years, bringing the total number of known illegal aliens up to >60,000,000.

It is stunningly clear that promoting the influx of illegal aliens has been a primary strategy of those who control Mr. Biden, and the Democrats.  Their purported purpose for this effort is to increase their voter rolls, although there are more subversive reasons behind their strategy that may be discussed in a future article.  As we see their strategy has worked very well.  But now, the Democrats are upping the game in ways that would seem to lure the maximum number of people to inundate our borders.

Most recently we have heard – and seen – that the Biden regime are handing out $500 iPhones to all illegal aliens.  If one looks closely at the news feed, something else becomes obvious:  The Biden regime is outfitting these illegal aliens with Nike shoes (we can see the “swoosh” on those shoes and they very closely resemble the model that sells for around $140 per pair.)  Notice, too, that they all seem to be wearing very stylish, mostly black, clothing.  Is this selection chosen to help them appear less visible?

One of the Left’s arguments for allowing these illegal aliens to remain in the United States is the tired old worn out excuse, “Farmers need these people to help pick fruit and work on farms.”  News Flash:  If one visits a rural community, one already sees scores of illegal aliens at shopping centers or “big box” stores on Sunday afternoons, often being transported via farm-owned buses.  But those illegal aliens account for only a fraction of the total number in our country.  The majority of illegal aliens are found in urban settings, roaming the streets, engaging in various crimes, and negatively impacting our economy.  Why do we need more?

The next day, an article appeared in United Kingdom’s Daily Mail, informing us that Mr. Biden has instructed the Veterans Administration to deploy some of its physicians to the border to treat the various illnesses and infestations of those persons invading our country.  All this comes at a time when our veterans cannot receive the medical treatment they need due to a shortage of doctors and medical staff.  Our veterans are literally dying on the streets of our cities!

On 19 April, Fox News reported thus far in 2022, more than 1.2 million illegal aliens have crossed our southern border.  Former ICE Director Tom Homan reported, in 2021, Customs and Border Patrol captured 23 aliens caught crossing our borders had known ties to terrorist organizations.  Mr. Homan posed a rhetorical question:  How many terrorists have evaded capture?

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, “although many people think of the sex trade when they think of human trafficking, this crime also occurs in such labor situations as:

  • Domestic servitude
  • Labor in a prison-like factory
  • Migrant agricultural work.

“In addition, with respect to labor situations, the initial agreement to travel or to perform work does not mean that the employer is not later allowed to restrict a victim’s freedom or use force or threats to obtain repayment.

“Human trafficking and human smuggling are sometimes, but not always, linked, because not all individuals who are smuggled are trafficked, and movement is not required for trafficking to occur.”

These data begs the question:  Just who are those people we see in our towns and cities – are they here of their own volition, or are they slaves to the human trafficking and drug cartels?  Is the money they wire back to their home country going to their family, or is it going to the traffickers who are holding a gun to the heads of their family members?

And, speaking of drug cartels, way back in 2009 a Senate investigation found that Mexican drug cartels were raking in $10 million per week.  More recent reports tell us the street value of many single shipments exceed that number and it is estimated that only 10% of all drug shipments are captured.  More moderate estimates tell us the drug cartels are netting more than $50 billion per year.

On 20 April, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) appeared on The Evening Edit, and reported that captured shipments of Fentanyl – a drug manufactured mostly in China – had increased by 400% since Mr. Biden inhabited the Oval Office.  The discussion with host Elizabeth MacDonald was extended to include news of captures of a drug, isotonitazene (which is reported to be 500 times more potent than morphine), had increased exponentially since Mr. Biden’s occupancy of the White House.  Isotonitazene is totally resistant to the overdose counter drug “Narcan.”

Rep. Zeldin also remarked about the increases of “labor trafficking,” meaning that slave laborers were being imported into American factories and non-farming businesses.

When Mr. Biden proposed to do away with “Title 42” – the last measure that has curtailed the assault on our southern border by denying immigrants admission into the United States, on the basis of health risks.  Terminating this section of the public health laws equates to sending an engraved invitation to every person on earth who may wish to avoid standard immigration procedures.

It may be possible to restore the “Title 42” provisions after the 2022 mid-terms in November, but Mr. Biden seems fully intent on cancelling this provision in May, so there will be no stopping the millions of illegal aliens who will invade our country during the interim.

There are many tragedies stemming from the influx of illegal aliens crossing our borders – innocent lives cut short by the criminal and gang element, sexual assaults against women and children, the loss of property due to theft and robbery, and the list goes on, but among the more tragic is the data on unaccompanied children dumped along the US side of the border.  CNN (of all outlets!), reported that 14,000 children – some of whom are infants and some of whom had been sexually abused – had been taken into custody as of 18 March 2022.  This is in addition to the 125,000 that have been rescued since Mr. Biden began his tenure in the White House, as reported in the New York Post reported in October 2021.

On 22 April, we learned more than a dozen Governors have signed onto a letter to Mr. Biden, urging that he not follow through with his plans to destroy our last measure to stem the tide of illegal immigrants invading our country.  The greatest surprise, however, has come from his Secretary of DHS, Alejandro Mayorkas, who has warned of severe consequences if Title 42 is abandoned.  Ultimately, the final decision made by Mr. Biden will be the one his handlers tell him to make.

So, once again we have learned elections do, indeed, have consequences.  Mr. Biden’s border debacle is but one of many reasons why we must work to elect CONSERVATIVES in the House of Representative and the Senate (along with every office at all levels of government), so we can put a STOP to Mr. Biden’s madness.

REFLECTIONS ON “EARTH DAY,” 22 APRIL

Kris Bancroft, Editor

“Earth Day” actually was “born” back in 1970, but the first time I encountered an Earth Day “event” was the year I had signed on to do some adjunct work at a community college.

As I pulled into the campus parking lot, I noticed a gaggle of mixed-age people gathered around a platform that was flanked by a couple of charcoal grills; the smoke coming from those grills was dense enough to keep the flies out of the entire county.

The speaker, a biology instructor, was also fired up and spewing fire and brimstone.  I don’t recall much of what he actually said but I do remember two points he pushed:  First was his urgent and fervent appeal to his sycophants to work toward making our government pass laws that would “heal the Earth.”

Since I was – and still am – an advocate for good stewardship over our natural resources, I stayed to hear more.

I can still recall how the speaker worked himself into a frenzy as he held the microphone in his hand while he plodded back and forth across his platform.  His free hand was raised toward the sky and his body seemed to contort with every new syllable that he pushed past his lips, spraying sputum, as his eyes bulged and his face reddened.  “We’re out of time,” he declared, “we must act now.  If we fail to stop those greedy corporate ________, within ten years, all life forms on this planet will die in the coming ice age!”

The crowd cheered and slanted various slogans and the crowd began to disperse.

The man and woman who owned (or had borrowed) the charcoal grills dumped the remaining coals out on the grass, wiped them down a bit, and loaded them up, along with their ice chest, into the back of a van, and drove away.  I could not help but notice the excessive smoke coming from the exhaust pipe of their van – a broken piston ring was my guess.

It was dusk when I left my classroom.  As I walked out the door toward my car, the custodial crew were still collecting trash that had been thrown on the ground by those who had attended the “Earth Day Celebration.”

Thankfully (said with as much sarcasm as I can muster), a few years later, our Climate Czar Extraordinaire and self-appointed Savior of the Environment, none other than Al Gore, explained to the world that it’s not an ice age headed our way but global warming.  In 2008, he warned us that if we failed to stop using fossil fuels, within ten years the polar ice caps would be melted and Manhattan would be knee-deep in water.

Ahem!

Today, a friend (and Correspondent to this newsletter) from up in Maryland, Ticiba Upe, shared some thoughts from John Berlon, a senior fellow and Director of Finance Policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

“If I wanted America to fail, to follow, not lead, to suffer, not prosper, to despair, not dream; I’d start with energy.  I’d cut off America’s supply of cheap abundant energy.

“I couldn’t take it by force, so I’d make Americans feel guilty about using the energy that heats their homes, fuels their cars, runs their businesses and powers their economy.

“If I wanted America to fail, I’d use their schools to teach one generation of Americans that their factories and their cars will cause a new ice age, and I’d muster a straight face so I could teach the next generation that they’re causing global warming.  When it’s cold out, I’d call it climate change instead.

“If I wanted America to fail, I’d celebrate those who preach in public while indulging a lavish lifestyle in private.

“I’d convince Americans that Europe has it right and that America has it wrong. …

“I would prey on the goodness and the decency of ordinary Americans.

I would only need to convince them that all of this is for the greater good.”

The following link provides more evidence on how the climate alarmists keep getting it wront.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Facts do not cease to exist simply because they are ignored. – Aldous Huxley

A MEDICAL “BACK DOOR” PASSPORT

Col. Don Jenkins, US Army (Ret.)

About the time you believe the “people and the government” have finally come to the realization that a “passport,” for other than international identification purposes, is not a good thing, the Left has figured a way to circumvent the system and law.  People are rightly upset with the notion that to travel, attend activities, go to work, shop, attend church, attend sports activities, or a myriad of other gatherings, having to verify vaccine status is not something that they must do.  Rightly, people realize that choosing to be vaccinated, or not, is a personal choice, a religious choice, a medical choice, a privacy choice, and should not be a matter of concern of the government.

However, typical of the Left, they developed the Smart Health Card system that enables the individual to download health care status (e.g., vaccine status) so that such information is readily available, is being introduced worldwide, and States are “catching-on.” Having your personal information available to yourself should always be a reasonable and personal matter of choice.  Being required to reveal any of it in order to participate in society should never be a requirement.

The Smart Health Card (as described by Ms. Kellehers article,” “A National Vaccine Pass Has Quietly Rolled Out , And Red States are Getting On Board”) is being quietly “rolled-out” and is being implemented by nearly 500 entities, at least 20 US States, and numerous countries. To participate in the system a person requests one of the implementers/entities (medical facilities, pharmacies, laboratories etc.) to download your information that is “verified” and then aggregated at a separate location allowing others to then “view” your vaccine status.  To date the information is limited to vaccine status but clearly the system is/may be designed to allow for expansion of types of information.  Once your information is included in the electronic database, a global (worldwide) registry then contains “your” information.

Once this electronic database is developed, an “electronic record” (Smart Health Card) of your medical status is included for anyone, or any entity that that has “privileges” to view.  Over 175 million persons within the 50 US States have access to Smart Health via Walmart, Microsoft, Apple, National Institute of Health, pharmacies, laboratories, doctor’s offices etc. that have or are developing apps and data bases designed to work with the Smart Heath system.

Such normalization and incrementalization of a data base that can be used to allow or deny access to or for services has the ability to swing rapidly into the worst of all control measures. Accepting the argument used by advocates that the ownership of the information is owned by the individual is true.  But its use can be given to others by a simple law, regulation, or policy and immediately the Smart Card becomes an electronic passport.  If this “intrusion” into your personal life is not a violation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution I am not sure what might be. The citizens of this country (any country) can be controlled in every way imaginable simply by allowing/disallowing access to goods or services unless and until verified by the Smart Card system.

No free society denies citizens access to their own medical information.  However, despotic leadership does seek control of citizens through whatever means possible.  When the people have been conditioned to accept an idea, method or practice it becomes much easier to turn up the heat, as the proverbial frog in water, until it is too late.

So, what can be done to defend against the Smart Card system and possible subsequent overreaches?  The single biggest defense is to not participate.  The second defense is to initiate legislation that precludes any tax payer funded institution to participate in the Smart Card System.  Thirdly, enact legislation that criminalizes any entity that seeks to deny access or services to anyone that does not participate in the Smart Card System. Forth, enact legislation that prohibits any government or government funded entity to participate in the distribution of privately held medical information.

What people do with their own information is their business.  However, the government should in no way participate in such a clear attempt to back-door a medical passport policy.

Your active participation to stop this back-door maneuver is critical to a free society!!

Suggest all consider sending a letter to your elected representatives similar to: “Dear Senator/Congressman, The Smart Health System is a back door method of creating a Medical Passport which is clearly a violation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution and must be stopped!”

The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny lies in keeping them ignorant. – Maximilien Robespierre

TENNESSEE’S PLACE IN THE STRUGGLE FOR LIBERTY

  1. Richard Archie – Bells, TN, West TN Director, Board Member

Tennessee Firearms Association Rarchie@tennesseefirearms.com

As one who had spent the last two decades advocating for a return to the intent of Tennessee’s Founders (1796) with respect to the Right to keep, bear and wear arms, I must say it has been a daunting trial to approach what should been a simple task.

Sadly, our Public Education System is not conducive to keeping the history of our path to Liberty alive.  We stand on the shoulders (and bones) of men and women that refused the yoke of tyranny, but whose acts of bravery and sacrifice have slipped from the mind of the body politic through forgetfulness possibly, or more likely, intent to appear to be less warlike that necessity required at the time to arrive at the governance we “enjoy” today.  For those who study and are interested, it is a fact that in every scuffle for Liberty in the formative years of our Republic, Tennesseans stood at the front of the class when it came to activism focused on Liberty and individual Freedom, irrespective of the cost.
I pass the John Sevier Building on the way to the Legislature each week, and am embarrassed that so few know the facts surrounding his part in our past.  Were it not for he and colonels Isaac Shelby, Samuel Phillips, William Campbell, Arthur Campbell, Charles McDowell, and Andrew Hampton and their volunteers, described by “Light Horse” Harry Lee as “A race of hardy men who were familiar with the use of the horse and the rifle, stout, active, patient under privation, and brave.” we might be still singing “Hail to the Queen” instead of the Star-Spangled Banner.  These men marched over 330 miles to break the back of the British offensive into the South led by Major Patrick Ferguson, who promised that his army would march “…over the mountains, hang their leaders, and lay their country waste with fire and sword.”  After the famous Battle of King’s Mountain, October 7th, 1780, where they killed Ferguson and destroyed his army in hours, they simply went home.  Men who wanted nothing more than to govern their own affairs and be left alone.
Factor in the War of 1812, Tennessee actors Jackson, Coffee, Carrol, Crockett and the like once again volunteering to stand in the breech of Liberty with their own arms, signing the “for” line of that check with their lives, inked in blood.  Horseshoe Bend and the Battle of New Orleans Stand in evidence to what Tennesseans achieve of their own volition and with their personal weapons.  Major A. Lacarriere Latour opined about Coffee’s men upon entering New Orleans:
“Their appearance, however, was not very military. In their woolen hunting shirts and coperas (sic) dyed pantaloons; with slouched hat or cap made from the skins of raccoons or foxes; with belts of untanned deer-skin and in which were stuck their hunting-knives—but were admirable soldiers, remarkable for endurance and possessing that admirable quality in soldiers, of being able to take care of themselves.  At their head rode their gallant leader, a man of noble respect, tall and herculean in appearance, mounted upon a fine Tennessee thoroughbred, was stately and impressive.”

Our Volunteers destroyed Wellington’s finest and once again went home to their farms, not part of any organized Standing Army, mere Citizen Activist.
Then there is the Story if Crockett and the Tennessee Volunteers at the Alamo, once again into the breech. Crockett said, “Make sure you are right, then go ahead!”  Nothing more needs be said of this…
How sad I think these Heroes would be to see a legislature of Tennessee conniving to deny the Right to arms they so dearly bough with their sacrifice of blood and treasure.   Yet it is a crime now to carry a loaded firearm on your person.  Indeed, there are defenses against prosecution, exemptions and exceptions created out of whole cloth, but the fact remains, in 1821 the legislature passed an unconstitutional law making it a crime to carry a loaded firearm, and it is still on our books today.

Russian people can no longer pay for Netflix and Spotify with their bank cards; also, they can no longer use Apple Pay or Google Pay.  Before we get rid of cash transactions and fully go down the path of a “Cashless Society,” it’s worth giving some serious thought about the fragility of the system that our government can turn “Off” or “On” in the blink of an eye?  [Thanks to Rick Gann, Clinton, TN]

OVERHEARD SOMEWHERE IN MOSCOW

And so, once again, our good friend Jim Clarkson, President of Resource Supply Management, https://rmsenergy.com  a widely known and respected energy procurement company, shares his wit in a piece he entitled “How to Defeat America.” – Editor

“Boris Chinrencov, we wish to speak with you.”

“Oh, no.  Not again.  I am just trying to live out my final days here in rest home for old Bolsheviks.  Americans and agents of State Security keep asking me about central planning, but there is nothing that can make it work.”

“Comrade Chinrencov, we are special team of subversives assigned to undermine the American economy.  As citizens of old Soviet Union, we of course know central planning does not work.”
“Why does your group want to talk to me?”
“We know Americans hired you as consultant on energy policy and that you studied American energy policies in order to give them advice.  We seek your opinions and advice on plan we have to destroy American energy advantage.”
“What is your plan, Comrades?”
“We have sleeper agents, secret cells, reporters on our payroll and saboteurs within the American society.  Our plan is to use our agents to attack America’s bountiful supplies of coal, oil and natural gas to reduce the strength of the American economy and lower living standards.  We will discredit the use of these energy supplies, make them unpopular, and hinder their development through onerous laws, restrictions and taxes.  Then, heh, heh, we will encourage the use of expensive inferior renewable technologies instead of cheap plentiful energy.  We want them to lose the ability to grow their economy, while they squander their accumulated wealth on wind and solar energy, carbon capture, biofuels and other silly alternate fuel measures, snicker, snicker.  We will foster foolish green energy policies heavily infused with political corruption for a war on carbon fuels to kill productive business, giggle, giggle.”
“Da, subversive Comrades, that is good plan; it will work.  However, you need not waste efforts in implementing it.  Americans are doing all these things on their own.  As is said in America, ‘they shoot bullets into shoes with own gun’.”

AND YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD DEFEATED CRT?  THINK AGAIN

Undercover Investigation Reveals CRT Still Being Used in Tennessee School Districts

March 28, 2022  Accuracy in MediaAdam Guillettecritical race theorycurriculumEquityInvestigationJasperJasper Elementary SchoolK-12 schoolsKimberly ShurettMetro Nashville Public SchoolsMoms for LibertyPublic SchoolsRobin Steenmansocial emotional learningTennesseeTennessee Department of Education

Despite the fact that state lawmakers banned the teaching of Critical Race Theory in K-12 public schools last year, an undercover investigation by Accuracy in Media (AIM) has revealed that many Tennessee school districts continue to do what they want and push their own agendas.

AIM President Adam Guillette released a video report showing a number of Tennessee public school administrators talking on AIM’s hidden camera, answering various questions about the role of CRT in their curriculum and their response to the legislative ban on its teaching.

According to Todd Wigginton, Metro Nashville’s Director of Instruction for K-12, the law has not really affected his district.

“The law was really well crafted and accomplishes nothing. It does not keep us from teaching the history,” Wigginton said.

He continued, “So basically, we’re doing what we’ve been doing.”

The problem is that what they’ve been doing is adapting and teaching the tenets of CRT, many times just using different terminology to push it through without parents realizing what was taking place.

Many school systems have adopted curricula that surround “social-emotional learning.” These lessons on SEL often include discussion of “power and privilege” or “empathy and equity,” which push ideas of systemic oppression under the guise of learning to accept others.

Kimberly Shurett, Director of Early Grades Academic Support and former Jasper Elementary School principal, said, “We’re business as usual in this district…we don’t really let anybody tell us what to do.”

According to the law, school systems stand to lose state funding if they are found to be in violation of the legislation, although the Tennessee Department of Education already declined to investigate its first complaint.

Robin Steenman, chair of the Williamson County chapter of Moms for Liberty, filed an 11-page complaint against the Wit and Wisdom curriculum that was being used, stating that many of the books used were “divisive” and “manipulative.”

The TDOE opted not to pursue the investigation because they said the law gave them authorization to look into complaints from the 2021-2022 school year but this complaint was in regards to the previous school year.

School systems are still taking advantage of complacent parents and lack of governmental oversight to use methods such as “open-ended questioning” or “giving students space to think” to slip in those ideals of CRT.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Think!  If Mr. Biden had not cancelled the drilling permits on Federal lands (and offshore), and then cancelled the Keystone pipeline, the United States would still be the world’s number one exporter of fossil fuels and petroleum products.  The fuel working people rely on to get them to and from work would not have increased by approximately 50%.  Europe would not have to rely on Venezuela, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Russia to fulfill its energy needs.  The USA would not be supplementing its energy needs with oil from Russian, Venezuelan, and Saudi Arabia – countries that do not like us very much – and Mr. Biden would not be draining our country’s strategic reserves (that reserve our country depends upon in the event of a National Emergency), as a means by which to artificially lower energy costs and make his regime look less incompetent

April 8, 2022

Dear Kris,

Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R.4521, the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing, Pre-Eminence in Technology, and Economic Strength (COMPETES) Act.  I always appreciate hearing from Tennesseans.

Maintaining U.S. leadership in key, emerging technologies is a strategic imperative.  From artificial intelligence and quantum computing to next-generation telecommunications and molecular engineering, U.S. technological leadership has implications for both national security and national economic competitiveness.  As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee, I understand the importance of our nation’s leadership in technology, scientific research, and the supply chains that underpin both.

In July 2021, Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX-30) introduced the America COMPETES Act.  While supporters of this bill argue it will enhance U.S. competitiveness, I have serious concerns about the bill’s cost, duplication of existing programs, and extraneous provisions that may actually hinder our technological leadership.

In February 2022, the House of Representatives passed H.R.4521 by a vote of 222 – 210.  In March 2022, the Senate passed an amended version of the bill by a vote of 68 – 28.  I voted against this bill.  A conference committee made up of House and Senate members will now work to resolve differences between their respective versions of H.R.4521.  Please be assured I will keep your thoughts in mind should H.R.4521 come before the Senate again this year.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me.  If you would like regular updates on my work for Tennessee, please sign up for my weekly newsletter or follow me on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram.

I’m Bruce Griffey and I’m running for Circuit Judge for the 24th Judicial District, which includes Benton, Carroll, Decatur, Hardin and Henry Counties, and I would be deeply humbled to have your vote and support.  Early voting is underway and continues until April 28 with Election Day on May 3.
As a little background about myself, I’m a long-time Republican, Christian conservative, husband and father.  I have been a trial attorney for over 30 years.  I served as an Asst. Attorney General as well as an Asst. District Attorney and I currently serve in the Tennessee House of Representatives.  I was recently recognized at CPAC as the most conservative Republican legislator in TN.  My wife sits on the TN Republican Party State Executive Committee and served on the Trump Delegation to the 2016 and 2020 RNC.  I was endorsed in 2020 by the NRA, the TN Firearms Assoc. and TN Right to Life.  I’m pro-God, pro-family, pro-gun and pro-Trump and have a proven legislative record of sponsoring bills to:  safeguard Second Amendment gun rights, protect the right to life, stop illegal immigration to TN, support Trump MAGA policies, provide greater rights to crime victims, increase punishment for crime, support law enforcement and veterans, end vaccine and mask mandates, prevent voter fraud, fight government overreach and reform the welfare system.
Having served as both an Assistant District Attorney and an Assistant TN Attorney General, I am regrettably all too familiar with how broken our criminal justice system is.  It is set up to cater to criminals and further victimize victims, and it needs a massive overhaul.  This is why I have pushed so hard as a legislator at the TN Capitol for legislation to provide greater rights and protection for victims such as Marsy’s Law and the SAFE Act.
I have also fought for legislation to provide truth in sentencing.  It’s simply not fair to victims that criminals only have to serve a small percentage of their sentence before they are returned to the community only to re-victimize.  I’m tired of the catch and release program.  If you do the crime, then you need to do the time, and a strong message needs to be sent that, if you engage in criminal conduct, there will be stiff punishment, not a slap on the wrist.  It is critical for the safety of our community.
As a legislator, I have also pushed hard at the Capitol for increased funding for law enforcement agencies as well as increased pay and benefits for law enforcement officers, who risk their lives every day to protect us.  If you want a “law and order”, “tough on crime” Judge who will support our law enforcement officers, deliver justice for victims and protect the safety of our community, please vote for me.  I would be deeply humbled and honored to not only have your vote, but also your support in telling your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to vote for me as well.
Respectfully, Bruce Griffey

Steve Zipperman is a candidate for the Arizona State Senate, he shared this message with MSGT Jack Dona, a correspondent from Cochise County, AZ.  The people in Mr. Zipperman’s district are fortunate to have a candidate with such conservative ideals.

We’re going to change the way things are done here in Arizona.  There is a large movement of America First conservatives who are working to change the current government paradigm for the better.  It will take time.

When I get despondent about the way things are going politically, I remember the battle of Trenton, New Jersey. Washington, with a rag tag group of troops who just wanted to go home, had no food, ammunition, boats or shoes, took on the most brutal military force at the time, the Hessians, and God came to their aid.  America has been on the precipice many times in our history.  Each time, the indomitable American spirit rose up, and with God’s help we defeated these challenges to our country and its values.

Right now, God is working through a lot of us who have had enough of these woke changes, and losing our rights to the left.  Many have taken the challenge.  That’s one reason that there are so many good candidates to choose from this election cycle.  We aren’t sitting back and allowing our country to be taken away from us.  Each patriot is grabbing the oar in front of them, and we are all pulling for all it is worth!  The ship is moving forward, and gaining speed!

Support candidates who you believe in.  Continue to use your active voice to make a difference.  Churchill was right, Neva give up!  Neva!

We’ve got this.  Just have faith, and continue to work as hard as you can to keep America free!

The oath that we took is most important now.  We must fight to protect and defend our Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.  We were aware of the foreign enemies, but the domestic ones have worked for decades in the background, to undermine our system of government.  It’s time for those of us who give a hoot to fight against the domestic enemies that we have sworn to defeat.  I’m all in on that battle.

I will work tirelessly within the system to change it and remove those domestic enemies.  Then, that failing, they may find my body in a huge pile of brass.  The fight has just begun.  We need to stand firm.  Don’t let the lefties take the high ground.  Have the courage to stand and fight once again for what is right, and for our great nation!

I wish you a blessed day!

Katja Brauns, Stabfurt, Germany shed more light on the false narrative about “going green.”  [Translated from German]

“Batteries don’t create electricity – they store electricity generated elsewhere, especially through coal, uranium, natural gas-powered power plants, or diesel-powered generators.”  So the claim that an electric car is a zero-emission vehicle is not true at all.

Since forty percent of the electricity produced in the USA comes from coal power plants, therefore forty percent of electric cars on the road are coal-based.

But that’s not all.  Those of you excited about electric cars and a green revolution should take a closer look at the batteries, but also wind turbines and solar panels.

A typical electric car battery weighs a thousand pounds, about the size of a suitcase.  It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds of cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic.  There are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells inside.

To make each BEV battery, you’ll need to process 25,000 pounds of salt for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of resin for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore from the copper.  Overall, you have to dig out 500,000 pounds of earth’s crust for a battery. ”

The main problem with solar systems is the chemicals used to turn silicate into the silicon used for the panels.  To produce sufficiently pure silicon, it must be treated with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen fluoride, trichlorothane and acetone.

In addition, gallium, arsenide, copper-indium-gallium diselenide and cadmium telluride are needed which are also highly toxic.  Silicon dust poses a hazard to workers and the plates cannot be recycled.

Wind turbines are the nonplusultra in terms of cost and environmental destruction.  Each windmill weighs 1,688 tons (equivalent to the weight of 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of fiberglass, and the hard-to-win rare-earths Neodym, Praseodym, and Dysprosium.  Each of the three blades weighs 81,000 pounds and has a lifespan of 15 to 20 years, after which they must be replaced.  We cannot recycle used rotor blades.

These technologies can certainly have their place, but you have to look beyond the myth of emission freedom.

“Going Green” may sound like a utopian ideal, but if you look at the hidden and embedded costs in a realistic and unbiased way, you’ll find that “Going Green” is doing more harm to the Earth’s environment than it seems.  Has.

I’m not opposed to mining, electric vehicles, wind or solar energy.  But I show the reality of the situation.

Copied / pasted obviously. I invite you to pass the text along.

Bill Bastenbeck, Dayton TN warns of the continuing influence of the Military Industrial Complex:

I have been told by the same people who take a knee during our National Anthem that I am a Russian puppet because I don’t believe we should escalate our involvement in the Ukrainian – Russian war.

This is just a sequel to a movie we’ve all seen before.  It was directed by Lyndon Baines Johnson and co-produced by Robert McNamara and Dean Rusk, called “Vietnam, The Domino Theory,” Staring Bell Helicopter, with McDonnel Douglas, Boeing, Colt and Sikorsky.

Who will get rich off this one?  Who gets more power?  Too bad Woodward and Bernstein left journalism.  Is the answer in Hunter’s laptop?  Will someone please follow the money!

The blind refusal to open America’s energy spigot, encourage American companies to leave China and the executive decision not to secure our own borders only makes one wonder who will be the big winners here. Certainly not the American people. Certainly not anyone paying north of $5 for a gallon of gasoline.

Bloomberg news informed us recently that only people making less than $300K a year are affected by our current wave of inflation…. duh!  They recommend we take the bus, don’t take our pets to the vet, don’t buy in bulk, and eat legumes.  Some of us remember the early 1970’s beef shortage when Richard Nixon told us to “eat fish”.

And about those legumes (just beans that vote a Democrat) I thought AOC and the squad were worried about methane emissions?

Unless we vote out this current crop of Cheney’s, Kitzinger’s, Schiff’s, Schumer’s, Pelosi’s, Graham’s and of course the Turtle, the bus we are told to ride will smell as bad as the nation’s current political policies.

Harriett Lublin, Atlanta, GA shared this comment in reference to an article in The Epoch Times, on Special Counsel John Durham’s revelations which have led to the indictment of Michael Sussman, an attorney employed by Hillary Clinton:

In the new filing, Durham’s team pointed out that Fusion GPS co-founders Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch penned a book published in 2019, which means even if a valid privilege did once exist, it might have since been waived.

Prosecutors also noted that Fusion GPS operatives regularly communicated with reporters about their work, resulting in several stories before the 2020 election and a spate of others after voters hit the polls.

Further, the Clinton campaign (HFA) and the DNC have claimed privilege over communications sent between Rodney Joffe, whom Sussmann was also representing at the time, and a Fusion operative, “despite the fact that no one from either the DNC or HFA is copied on certain of these communications,” prosecutors said.

The government subpoenaed information from the parties in 2021.

Fusion GPS was paid by the Democratic entities through Perkins Coie, a law firm. The agreement was introduced as an exhibit in the case.

Many if not most of the actions taken by Fusion GPS employees “do not appear to have been a necessary part of, or even related to” Perkins Coie’s legal advice to the campaign and the DNC, Durham’s team said.

Prosecutors want to examine the communications in a private, in-camera setting “in order to resolve these issues and ensure that only legitimately privileged and/or attorney work product-protected communications and testimony be withheld from the otherwise admissible evidence and testimony that is presented to the jury at trial.”

Barry Phillips, Conshohocken, PA shared his thoughts on Pennsylvania’s Senate race:

Hi Kris,

In response to your question a couple of weeks ago, the wife and I went over to hear Kathy Barnette, one of the candidates running to replace Pat Toomey.  She was articulate and her message was more down to earth than Dr. Oz’s.  She’s not as well-funded as Mehmet Oz, but I think people who take time to listen to her know she’s a better choice.

Thanks for asking!

Forest Baker, Wildomar, CA writes:

We subscribe to and I read the Smithsonian Magazine and National Geographic.  This is because they normally have articles about a number of things I am keen on.  Including ancient man and pre-Sapien hominids.

And in spite of the fact that they have in the past few years both become obsessed about global warming due to fossil fuels and a very few ppm of carbon dioxide.

The climate scientists (if you can call them that) now talk about “climate change” instead of the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis.  This is due to the fact that the hypothesis itself has failed to be demonstrated scientifically.  And the models put forward also failed on the merits.  The data regarding what we already know to have happened do not fit.  And the math does not work.  Carbon dioxide generated by human activity as a significant greenhouse gas does not have a substantial or measurable effect on global temperatures.  Many other things, of course, do. But the “global warming” argument cannot be made.

The climate might be changing.  We know that the weather changes. Cyclically.  Our ability to gather mountains of data about weather all over the world is far more robust than ever previously.  Hard to compare these numbers with measurements we really don’t have about past centuries.  And those same people have not offered any speculation about how carbon dioxide might be “changing the climate” beyond their failed hypothesis that it’s a wicked greenhouse gas that is causing the planet to warm.  There is no such argument that burning fossil fuel is changing-the-climate.  It would make no logical sense and there is not even a working hypothesis.

Nevertheless, since Al Gore found himself out of work as of the year 2000 his proselytizing that the world is going to end has been pitched to an entire generation of young people who literally believe this business.  Religiously.  Because that’s the way they were raised and what they were relentlessly taught to believe.  Beyond that they have been urged that evil old white men are out to destroy the Earth with this global warming recklessness so that we can make a few bucks today…and leave this planet as a smoking charcoal nightmare for our grandchildren to suffer with.

Wrong.

Bea Rigsby-Kunz, Lincoln County, TN shares an observation:

I had lunch at Monell’s yesterday, one of Nashville’s premier historical restaurants, family style-where 8, 10, or 12 people dine together at the same table from a collection of daily menus.  It was a lovely group at the table and amongst us was a couple from near Los Angeles, looking to get out of California, for this reason, and all the reasons which led up to this and more.  (They were natives of California.)

He stated that he was “fairly” conservative, being willing to hear both sides.

My thought was/is while anyone is free to live where they choose, would it not serve the overall problem much better to stand up and fight for your home ground, work to help clean up the mess, stop being “fairly” anything, know who you are and go full-on with that?

We are way past conservative/liberal and have been for a long time; we must start thinking and acting from a reality of “Right” versus “Wrong.”

My hope is those seeking to leave that state (and others) because of the rotten politics will be thinking more “right” than “wrong”.  Any state, city, or group is only as good as the people who make it up.

Worth noting:  Tennessee is not a perfect state, and neither is Florida, however; the people we put into office have listened to the residents in most things and worked to keep these state’s heads above many others.  I still think Bill Lee could learn from Ron DeSantis on many issues.

Harrison Lapahie, Shiprock, NM reports:

I found out yesterday, Tuesday, April 12th 2022, that the inflation rate in the U.S.A. is now 8.5%, a 40 year high since December 1981.  A few months ago, it was 7.0%, then 7.1%, then 7.5%, now it’s 8.5%.  U.S. President Joe Biden said that inflation had reached its peak in December 2021.  Nope, not true.  Under Donald Trump, our previous U.S. President, the inflation rate was at 1.7%.

What items have gone up in price in the U.S.A. since 2021 (when Biden took office):

  • Gas 48.0%
  • Used Cars 35.3%
  • Food 8.8%
  • Rent 5.0%
  • Meat 14.8%
  • Beef 16%
  • Pork 15.3%
  • Poultry 13.2%

Biden is blaming this inflation rate problem on the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.  Biden is wrong. U.S. President Joe Biden and his Democrat administration are the cause for this inflation rate problem.

+++ S 4008 Small Business COVID Relief Act of 2022 (Ben Cardin, D-MD, 112 pages).  This bill has one co-sponsor:  Roger Wicker, R-MS.

The purpose of this bill is to provide another $68 Billion taxpayer dollars for “COVID relief” for restaurants, gyms, minor league sports teams, border businesses, live venue service providers, exclave businesses, and providers of transportation services.

Not only do such bills run counter to the fundamentals of capitalism in that the right to succeed is countered by the possibility of failure, they also pick winners and losers.

+ HR 7276 To direct the President to submit to Congress a report on United States Government efforts to collect, analyze, and preserve evidence and information related to war crimes and other atrocities committed during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine since February 24, 2022, and for other purposes (Michael McCaul, R-TX, 5 pages), which may be cited as the “Ukraine Invasion War Crimes Deterrence and Accountability Act” passed in the House of Representatives with 418 votes.  The problem is, seven Republicans voted against this bill.  The dissenters were Tom Massie of Kentucky, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Warren Davidson of Ohio, Liz Cheney of Wyoming, and Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar of Arizona.  Ms. Cheney said later that her NO vote was a mistake and that she would amend it.  There has been no response from the other Republicans who voted against the bill.

+ + + + S 4008 Surface Transportation Investment Act of 2021 (Maria Cantwell, D-WA, 1186 pages).

The purpose of this bill is to authorize elements of the Department of Transportation, and for other purposes.

While surface transportation is crucial in the more densely populated areas of the country, the overwhelming majority of Americans will never ride a passenger train, a bus, a subway train, or a trolley yet every American taxpayer has been forced to subsidize these sundry forms of public transportation.  Borrowing from a famous quotation, one might protest such confiscations of the money we have earned with the rejoinder:  “No subsidization without utilization!”  And we’d be righteous in doing so.  Hence, the following observation:

Buried deep within Ms. Cantwell’s bill is a special Section – 2201 – dedicated to Amtrak, that colossal taxpayer-funded boondoggle that has never operated at a profit, and most likely never will.  It seems that Ms. Cantwell fully understands that no one in their right mind should expect Amtrak to be run in an efficient manner and, thus, she offers the following language under paragraph (c) “Increasing Revenues:”

Section 24101(d) of title 49, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:

(d)

Increasing revenues

Amtrak is encouraged [emphasis added] to make agreements with private sector entities and to undertake initiatives that are consistent with good business judgement and designed to generate additional revenues to advance the goals described in subsection (c).

+++ HR 3807 Restaurant Revitalization Fund Replenishment Act of 2021 (Earl Blumenauer, D-OR, 36 pages).

The purpose of this bill is to amend the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 to increase appropriations to the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, and for other purposes.

Over the past two years, the Wuhan Virus devastated many businesses, but now the pandemic is over.  Only a few Democrat-run holdouts are still mandating that citizens don masks and not gather in numbers (except when it is the Democrats who are gathering in numbers without their masks, i.e. “Rules for thee but not for me.”), so it seems appropriate that taxpayers should no longer be made to pay for the Democrats’ poor judgement.  But, Mr. Blumenauer doesn’t see it that way:  He is proposing a bailout to the tune of $70,600,000,000 to make up for the fact that the Democrats had it wrong all along.

+ HR 4877 One Stop Shop for Small Businesses Compliance Act of 2021 (Antonio Delgado, D-NY, 4 pages).

This bill would establish amend the Small Business Act to require the Small Business and Agriculture Regulatory Enforcement Ombudsman to create a centralized website for compliance guides, and for other purposes.

+ S 3059 Courthouse Ethics and Transparency Act (John Cornyn, R-TX, 5 pages).

This bill would amend the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 to provide for a periodic transaction reporting requirement for Federal judicial officers and the online publication of financial disclosure reports of Federal judicial officers, and for other purposes.  Ideally, it would prevent persons or groups with special interests from buying decisions – which seems to occur all too often!

This bill passed in the Senate and has been forwarded to the House of Representatives for consideration.

++ HR 5796 Patents for Humanity Act of 2021 (Hakeem Jefferies, D-NY, 5 pages).

Mr. Jefferies’ bill would amend Title 35, United States Code, to establish a competition to award certificates that can be redeemed to accelerate certain matters at the Patent and Trademark Office, and for other purposes.  The premise for his bill is that takes too long for the U.S. Patent Office to review applications and, by issuing certificates that, in effect, move certain applicants to the front of the line, patents for products that serve the more crucial needs of the undefined term “humanity,” could be moved to the front of the line.  The major issue with Mr. Jefferies’ bill is the selection of those patent applicants is both arbitrary and capricious, since no one can determine which products will have the greatest impact on “humanity.”

Perhaps someone should suggest to our friend Hakeem that he should work on ways to make the U.S. Patent office more efficient, instead of devising ways to pick winners and losers.

++ HR 350 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022 (Bradley Schneider, D-IL, 12 pages).

The purpose of this bill is to authorize dedicated domestic terrorism offices within the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to analyze and monitor domestic terrorist activity and require the Federal Government to take steps to prevent domestic terrorism.

Ultimately, this bill further shreds our rights under the 4th Amendment, as it is based on the premise of a “prevent defense,” which has consistently proven to be an unworkable strategy in that such databases have no viability until after an act of “domestic terrorism” (a conveniently very loosely defined term!), has been perpetrated.

Mr. Schneider’s bill reflects what has become a major failure of our nation’s entire judicial system:  The best deterrent to acts of domestic terrorism – or any crime for that matter – is harsh punishment that is both swift and sure.  An old saying:  “Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time,” comes immediately to mind.

LAGNIAPPE

The Democrats are on the run.  Although the majority of the talking heads on the Left are still doing all they can to minimize the fact that in merely one year the Biden regime has redefined failure, some of the major outlets are showing signs of resigning their attempt to bolster Mr. Biden’s failures.  One thing for sure, both Barack 0bama and Jimmy Carter are smiling today; they know they will no longer be remembered as the worst President in the history of the United States.

As for Mr. Biden and his regime, it seems they’ve run out of lies.  No one believes Mr. Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was anything less than catastrophic.  No one believes Mr. Biden when he blames skyrocketing energy prices on Vladimir Putin.  No one believes Mr. Biden when he claims the current US economy is “dynamic” and that he has created more jobs than any President in US history.  No one believes the claims that the highest inflation rate in 40 years is “transitory.”  No one believes that repealing Title 42 will not result in a border crisis that will make the border crisis Mr. Biden created last year pale in comparison.

There are rumors that Mr. Biden’s Press Secretary, Jen “Psirkleback” Psaki has indicated that she will be leaving after only one year in her role.  Could it be that she has reached her “lie limit?”

Meanwhile, Mr. Durham has released more information produced by his investigation into the Democrats collusion to frame President Trump.  As a result, a grand jury has indicted Clinton attorney Michael Sussmann, on charges related to the matter.  What’s more is it now seems Mr. 0bama had been made aware of the DNC’s involvement in the matter.  How viable are these charges?  They are so viable that even the New York Times has admitted the charges are “appropriate.”  The gang down at the Temple Bar are speculating as to whether or not Mr. Sussmann will “roll over” on the Clinton Crime Family, in exchange for a lesser charge.

Speaking of the New York Times, both the Times and the Washington Post have dropped their foil on the Hunter Biden “Laptop from Hell,” admitting the data shows a clear connection between Hunter Biden’s “business dealings” in Russia, Ukraine, and China, and Mr. Biden’s bank accounts.  The fact that Hunter’s and Mr. Biden’s bank accounts were “comingled” seems to be a major indicator that Joe knew precisely what his son was up to.

Will Merrick Garland appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the matter?  That remains to be seen.
