THANK YOU!

This month marks the beginning of the fifth year for the Rhea County Republican.  It all began with a meager 39 recipients – all of whom were Members of the Rhea County Republican Party (RCRP) – and its main purpose was to keep Members informed about the events and happenings in this county, to raise awareness of activities in county and state government, and to encourage Members to attend the RCRP meetings.

Unfortunately, except during the few months leading up to election time, the invitations extended to county and State politicians to share their thoughts and announcements have been largely ignored but, as it turned out, that has enabled me to focus more on events occurring in Washington, D.C., and so the LEGISLATIVE REPORT became a feature that sparked the interest of people far beyond the borders of Rhea County.

As The Rhea County Republican began its second year, there were more subscribers outside the county than in, and by the time this newsletter marked its third year there were more subscribers outside the state of Tennessee than in.

It was about that time when I began receiving more and more comments from readers and it became apparent that you – the readers – should indeed have a forum in which to share your thoughts, ideas, opinions, announcements, and observations so, a new feature – COMMENTS FROM READERS began.  Last month, those of you who share your comments are now known as “CORRESPONDENTS.”

Had it not been for you – the loyal subscribers – sharing this newsletter with your friends, and inviting them on my behalf to subscribe, this expansion could never have been possible. Today, The Rhea County Republican reaches across the United States, from Seattle, Washington to Boca Raton, Florida, and from Los Angeles, California to Keene, New Hampshire.  There are two subscribers in Canada, three in Israel, and one in Portugal.  I hope you will continue to tell your like-minded friends about this newsletter and invite them to subscribe; the more voices we have sharing thoughts, ideas, opinions, and observations the better informed we all will be.

Thank you!

EDITORIAL

As predictable as tomorrow’s sunrise, it was obvious Mr. Biden and the Democrats would betray Working Class Americans – those ordinary folks who elected him – but very few suspected the betrayal would come on Day One of his occupancy of the Oval Office.  That was the day, of course, when Mr. Biden cancelled the work done by President Trump and the Republicans by reinstituting the “Catch and Release” program dictated to Customs and Border Patrol.

Today, just as it was throughout most of the 0bama regime, we have yet another crisis brewing at our Southern Border – Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) reported, in the month of January 2021, some 35,000 people were caught trying to illegally enter the United States – a number not recorded in over ten years!  The latest reports from CBP for February state they catch and average of 350 aliens each day and estimate that an average of 400 per day evade detainment.  (During President Trump’s administration, the average number of illegal aliens caught trying to breach our borders was fewer than 1,000 per month!)

So now, instead of barring entry from persons “seeking asylum” at our Southern Border, Mr. Biden’s “Catch and Release” edict allows virtually any and all individuals to enter our country.  Once in the United States they are given instructions to show up for a hearing that may be set for more than five years from the date of issuance!  Virtually none of these illegal aliens (“asylum seekers”), undergo a criminal background check and virtually none are being tested for the Wuhan virus or any other communicable diseases.   https://www.kxan.com/news/catch-and-release-resumes-in-south-texas-mayor-says-biden-order-reinstates-policy/

and https://www.borderreport.com/regions/texas/exclusive-texas-sends-10000-covid-19-tests-to-mcallen-where-border-agents-are-releasing-migrant-families/

and Infectious Diseases Making the Border Crisis Worse (cis.org)

Historically, fewer than 7% of all those who are allowed to skate in under the “Catch and Release” order are ever seen again – until, that is, they are arrested for a capital crime or sign up for welfare.

So, you ask, how is that a betrayal to Working Class Americans?

Ponder this:  We’ve all seen the clips of those human caravans headed north – mostly young men (many with caps pulled down over their faces so as to obscure their faces), and young women (many carrying children), all of whom are desperate for one reason or another.

Many claim they are coming here to find work but none I’ve seen interviewed claim to be engineers, accountants, IT specialists, architects, etc., and that’s where Mr. Biden’s betrayal is made evident.  Whose jobs do you think they’ll take?

If you guessed they’ll take those jobs currently held by Working Class Americans, you win a cookie!

But, Mr. Biden doesn’t care about whose jobs these “refugees” will take; he has created a windfall for his cronies by providing them with millions of cheap laborers – workers who are willing to work for less money than their American counterparts – workers who never complain about the safety and health of their workplace, workers who never ask for a raise, and workers who will never threaten their employers with a visit from their Union Steward or OSHA.

This new supply of cheap labor quite often works for cash under the table, which saves their employers the trouble of filing all those pesky old government forms and purchasing those costly insurance benefits packages.  If any of these “asylum seekers” happens to be injured on the job, they just show up at their local Emergency Room with no explanation as to how and where they were injured – “lo siento, no hablo Englis!”  And guess who pays their medical bills?  This brings us to another inconvenient truth that Mr. Biden doesn’t want Working Class Americans to know about:

Go into any store that sells money orders, or other means by which a customer can purchase a wire transfer of cash that can be sent out of the country, and either observe what happens on any given Friday afternoon or, if you can find one, speak to a clerk who has not been told to zip their lip about what goes on behind their counter.  You will learn they sell wire transfers, often amounting to tens of thousands of dollars per week, that are sent out of the country – most often to Mexico and Central America.  In 2015, it was reported that $601 Billion was transferred out of the U.S. by “migrant workers.”  That’s $601 Billion that was earned here but not plowed back into our economy and left mostly untaxed!  That’s $601 Billion that would have been earned by Working Class Americans!

Remittances from the United States – Wikipedia

President Trump did all within his power (and that was quite a lot!), to create more and higher paying jobs for the American Working Class, but Mr. Biden is on course to betray the Working Class even more so than did Mr. 0bama!

Taxes paid by the American Working Class go a long way in helping to provide healthcare for illegal aliens.  According to a report from Forbes Magazine, in 2018, illegal aliens received $18.5 Billion in healthcare.  This undue strain on the entire healthcare system has a negative impact for America’s Working Class families – the resources are being used up too quickly and Americans are suffering because of it!

How American Citizens Finance $18.5 Billion In Health Care For Unauthorized Immigrants (forbes.com)

There are many components in calculating the other costs illegal aliens impose on our tax paying citizens – costs for housing, education, incarceration, language learning programs, and the like – but, according to a 2019 report published by The Hill, U.S. taxpayers shell out $250 Billion per year for these items.

Your taxpayer dollars are footing the spiraling costs of illegal immigration | TheHill

What no one can assign a dollar amount to are those innumerable incalculable costs imposed by illegal aliens – the loss of loved ones when illegal aliens commit murders, the loss of human dignity when illegal aliens rape women and children, the losses imposed by illegal aliens when they steal property or crash into vehicles while driving cars on which they hold no liability insurance – and often no driver’s license.  Whose insurance premiums go up when illegal aliens burglarize your home or business, or crash into your car?  And what group of American society are most heavily impacted by these incalculable costs?  It’s the Working Class Americans of course!

But, Mr. Biden has proven beyond doubt that he is perfectly – if not eagerly – willing to betray the Working Class American in order to serve his influential pals – Mr. Biden has even gone so far as to declare that illegal aliens caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or those who commit other felonies, will no longer be deported!  He has, in effect, declared the United States of America is a “Sanctuary Country!”

Sadly, many good and decent people – many of whom we call our friends – cast their votes for Mr. Biden.

We must help these, our Democrat friends, to see the error of their ways before the 2022 mid-terms.  If we can show our friends how they’ve been duped (again) they can join us in overturning the Democrats’ majorities in the House and Senate.

We must know the history of how working class Americans have, throughout history, been used by the Democrats, and show our friends how it has always been the Republicans who have always had the best interests of working class American in mind.

We must encourage and invite our Democrat friends to join with us in supporting the most qualified conservative candidates who are committed to putting this country back on a path to economic prosperity for all Americans who are willing to work for it.  This is the only way we can stop – and reverse – the unconstitutional, and otherwise harmful, actions of those Democrats who have incrementally and systematically tried to usurp our freedoms.

We must help our friends realize and accept the fact that the fulfillment of any hope is best accomplished by action, and we must commit our time and efforts to persuade our Democrat friends to join us in taking that essential action.

It all begins with a conversation; won’t you start today?

  1. TRUMP’S STATEMENT FOLLOWING HIS 2ND IMPEACHMENT ACQUITTAL

“This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country.  No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few months ago.

I also want to convey my gratitude to the millions of decent, hardworking, law-abiding, God-and-Country loving citizens who have bravely supported these important principles in these very difficult and challenging times.”

Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun.  In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people.  There has never been anything like it!

We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future.

Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

We remain one People, one family, one glorious nation under God, and it’s our responsibility to preserve this magnificent inheritance for our children and for generations of Americans to come.

May God bless all of you, and may God forever bless the United States of America.”

Donald Trump Jr. correctly noted: “When the establishment hates you and wants to prevent you from ever running again you know you’re doing something right.”

THE GREAT DIVIDE – REMEMBERING RUSH LIMBAUGH

On 15 February 2021 we lost, in my opinion, the greatest radio personality in the history of radio – Rush Limbaugh.  I began listening to Rush back in 1989 and, if I were near a radio, I would listen to him every time I could.  I was never disappointed by what I heard – a positive message, a message of hope for conservative thinkers, and most of all the TRUTH!

Like many American Patriots, I was so greatly saddened when I learned Mr. Limbaugh had been diagnosed with “stage four” lung cancer.  Somewhere along the line of the last year the meaning of what Rush had so often said about himself – that his talent was “on loan from God” – hit home with me, and I reckon that God finally decided to call in His loan.

Looking back on all those times, I was fortunate enough to have listened to the Rush Limbaugh radio program on a fairly regular basis and reflecting on the sum of my experience, I have come to a conclusion that I am sure has been reached by millions of his fans:  Rush Limbaugh is the indispensable man of our age for there will be no one who will ever replace him.

Following is an excerpt from one of his last programs.  I was fortunate enough to have heard it; it contains an important lesson.

“Establishment Republicans are willing to fade into oblivion for an entire generation to get rid of Donald Trump and his populist MAGA movement.”

“The endgame is the destruction of the entire MAGA movement, even if it means the Republican Party is adrift in the wilderness for 30 years.  ‘We’re gonna get rid of MAGA, it’s gonna have nothing to do with the Republican Party going forward.’  That’s the battle within the Republican Party.  The Republican Party has its own establishment types.    They have members that are as pro-deep state as Democrats are.”

He was responding to a listener who asked how Republican Rep. Liz Cheney could vote to impeach Trump.  She has since been condemned by her own party in Wyoming and will face a strong primary challenge in the next election.

Limbaugh said a similar cleansing in the GOP happened when Ronald Reagan left office after two terms and George H.W. Bush was elected.

“The Republican Party immediately began to eliminate anything that Reagan had to do with anything in terms of policy,” he said.  “George H. W. Bush ran for election claiming to be Reagan’s third term.  And he got elected on that.  But he started raising taxes.  He did everything the opposite of what Reagan did, started making deals with the Democrats.  And the reason was that the Republican establishment back then had no use for conservatives, no use for us, no use for conservatism.”

He said it’s even worse now, after Trump’s impact on the nation for four years.

“The hatred for Trump among Washington establishment types, be they Republican or Democrat, is so virulent, it is so powerful, it’s so all-consuming that it takes precedence over everything else,” he explained.  “It’s a sign of Trump’s effectiveness.  It’s an example of how good he was, how effective he was.  They’re scared to death of him still, after he has retreated and is now holding court at Mar-a-Lago, they’re still scared to death of him.  That’s why they want to impeach him.  That’s why they want to run around claiming he can never run for office again.  Everything they’re doing to Trump is unconstitutional, but they don’t care. If they can pull it off, they’ll pull it off.”

He pointed out there are nearly 75 million people who voted for Trump.

“That’s a political party right there, my man.  That is a political party.  And it’s got to be dealt with.  If you are part of the Washington establishment, the 75 million that voted for MAGA that voted for Trump, we can’t have that.  So not only do you have to take out Trump, you have to destroy his agenda at the same time.  You can’t let somebody else pick up the mantle,” he said.

Limbaugh said establishment Republicans try to “attach” themselves to conservatism when it’s expedient.

“But they never convert to conservatism.  They do their best to make you think they are, but they don’t and they aren’t,” he’s Trump and his success “just offended the hell out of them.”

QUESTION OF THE MONTH

[Please respond in a manner that most closely reflects your opinion and email to pyrope84045@mypacks.net . A score on each question will be published in the next edition of The Rhea County Republican.  THANKS! – Editor]

Should Congress clarify the 14th Amendment to close the anchor baby loop hole?

Please vote YES or NO.

Background –

  • Each year, hundreds of thousands of babies are born in the United States to illegal aliens. The parents immediately claim their “rights” to Medicaid and food stamps on behalf of their U.S.-born children.  Thanks to a rule change during the 0bama regime, illegal aliens with “anchor babies” have been effectively exempt from deportation since 2011.
  • In addition, tens of thousands of babies are born in the U.S. each year to tourists who come here to give birth and return home. According to Chinese government sources, in one recent year, ~10,000 Chinese women came to the United States to give birth and then returned home.  Under current rules ALL these children are Citizens of the United States!  It is conceivable – and likely – these children will be indoctrinated by the Chinese Communist Party and someday return to the United States with all privileges accorded to natural-born citizens – the privilege to vote, to own property, and to run for elected offices (except the Presidency).
  • The hospital bills for these births are almost always paid by U.S. taxpayers, although many of the “birthright tourists” are quite wealthy.
  • No European country grants birthright citizenship, and many countries around the world ended this privilege in the 1980s, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, India, Malta, and the Dominican Republic.

Response to last month’s question:

What do you think is the best strategy for regaining majorities in the House of Representatives and Senate in 2022?

  1. Research to find the most conservative candidate who is running against an incumbent Democrat or RINO Republican.
  2. Donate money to the Republican National Committee and trust they will work to nominate the best Republican candidates.
  3. Volunteer to work on the campaign(s) of one’s chosen candidate(s).
  4. Some combination of A, B, and C.

Predictably, all those who responded understood the question was rhetorical and that all three components – A. B. and C. – are crucial parts of the mission in taking our country back from Mr. Biden an the Democrats.

COMMENTS FROM REPRESENTATIVES

Senator Mitch McConnell (R?-KY) did not submit these remarks for publication in The Rhea County Republican, but he made them just the same.  It seems as though the Senator is trying to “incite” something.

“We have a criminal justice system in this country.  We have civil litigation.  And former presidents are not immune from being accountable by either one,” Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Saturday at the end of the second impeachment trial for former President Donald J. Trump.

“President Trump is still liable for everything he did while he was in office as an ordinary citizen unless the statute of limitations is run,” McConnell continued.  “Didn’t get away with anything yet.  Yet.”

“Whatever our ex-president claims he thought might happen that day, whatever reaction he says he meant to produce by that afternoon, we know he was watching the same live television as the rest of us.  A mob was assaulting the Capitol in his name.  These criminals were carrying his banners, hanging his flags, and screaming their loyalty to him.  It was obvious he could end this,” McConnell said.  “No.  Instead, according to public reports, he watched television happily, happily, as the chaos unfolded.”

Adam Laxalt of Las Vegas, NV and President of morninginnevadapac.org shares the following:

“Joe Biden is a moderate.”
This Democrat talking point — echoed ad infinitum by their allies in the mainstream “news” media — was deployed as a means of assuring voters, especially independent voters, that Biden would be a safe, non-threatening and ideologically tepid president.  It was part of their case that Biden would usher in a return to “normal” governance, in a marked departure from the unconventional style of Donald Trump.
Conservatives warned that there was absolutely zero basis for the claim that Biden was a moderate, given not only his long record (which has moved decidedly left as his career has progressed) but also the many extreme policy positions he explicitly took as a 2020 candidate.
We’re now a couple of weeks into his presidency, so we have an actual record by which to judge Biden, the supposed “moderate.” So … how’s that working out?
“Joe Biden is off to the most left-wing start of any Democratic president in recent memory,” writes National Review’s Rich Lowry.
Gee, if only someone had warned us.
Lowry elaborates:
“The dulcet tones of Biden’s inaugural address already seem an artifact of a bygone era.  Republicans will hammer him for the rest of his presidency for failing to deliver on his unifying message, but the fact is that Biden is governing as he promised — further to the left of his own record, further to the left of Barack Obama, and further to the left of any Democrat who made his career prior to the ascendency of the cultural left.
“It’s not new for Democrat presidents to want to tax, spend, and regulate, even if Biden seeks to do more of all three than his immediate predecessors did.  Biden layers on top of this a cultural agenda that represents a new dimension of radicalism that would be alien and baffling to past Democrats, who may have wanted to extend the New Deal but never sought to transcend the gender binary.”
But wait, as they say … there’s more!
“Biden is out of the box with a proposed $1.9 trillion relief bill that includes a $15-an-hour minimum wage that not too long ago was the pipe dream of his party’s socialist wing, as well as a massive bailout of states and localities.  Biden campaigned on a $4 trillion tax increase that one sympathetic observer has said would be ‘one of the largest wealth transfers in American history.’  Meanwhile, he’s filling positions beneath the cabinet level with progressives with a mandate to increase regulation across the board…

“Biden’s obsession with fighting climate change speaks of an overwhelming hostility to fossil fuels that is something new.  He has proposed a sweeping enforcement-never amnesty for more than 10 million illegal immigrants that makes past failed ‘comprehensive immigration bills’ look modest by comparison.  And his culture-war executive orders extend not just to abortion, where other Democratic presidents have signed executive orders quickly as well, but to transgender causes.
“There will also be a continual focus on what Biden’s chief-of-staff calls ‘a racial equity crisis,’ which will be a warrant for new, more aggressive identity politics.”
Remember, folks:  Biden has done all this in just two weeks.  One shudders to think about what the next four years are going to look like.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Mr. Biden is off to a very troubling start.  In his first two weeks of governing by Executive Order, he destroyed more than 17,000 American jobs and, according to the OMB, his edicts will destroy another 1.4 million American jobs by the end of 2021!

Mr. Biden has sent U.S. troops back to Syria and Iraq, he has allowed China to have computer access to our country’s electric utility grid, and he has destroyed our nation’s petroleum independence by destroying the Keystone Pipeline.

One must wonder whether Mr. Biden’s decisions were influenced by the $67 million dollars that China poured into “The Biden Foundation.”  https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tony-blinken-must-explain-anonymous-221600061.html

++ Republicans who voted against the will of their constituents

At 2:43 AM on 5 February 2021, Senator Ted Cruz introduced and amendment to protect American workers.  His amendment would have created a “point of order against the consideration of any legislation that increases employment-based visas until the United States’ labor market stabilizes and unemployment levels reach pre-pandemic levels, ensuring that Congress prioritizes the needs of American workers who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.”  Senator Cruz’s amendment was supported by 40 of his Republican colleagues, however; ten Republican Senators voted against the amendment and, therefore, against the American worker.

The Senators who voted with the Democrats are:  Susan Collins (ME), Deb Fischer (NE), Lindsey Graham (SC), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rand Paul (KY), Ben Sasse (NE), Tim Scott (SC), Dan Sullivan (AK), John Thune (SD), and Pat Toomey (PA).  Their lack of support for U.S. Citizens comes at a time when the Census Bureau reports that 90 million Americans are struggling to pay their basic household expenses, the Department of Labor reports that 18 million Americans have filed for unemployment, and the Economic Policy Institute reports that for 45 successive weeks the total initial claims outnumbered even the worst week of the Great Recession.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

“If ever a time should come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” – Samuel Adams, 1780

+++ HR 575 Lessening Regulatory Costs and Establishing a Federal Regulatory Budget Act of 2019 (Mark Meadows, R-NC).
Aside from laying new taxes, it seems there is nothing Congress in general enjoys doing more than writing new regulations.  (As you can see, there are exceptions.)  To make matter even stickier, the various Departments, Bureaus, Offices, and Agencies thrive on creating new regulations because having regulations to impose and enforce is often the only thing that justifies their existence!  Finally, there may be a solution to this problem if only Congress will pass it!  (With your encouragement, I’m sure they will.)

This bill establishes procedures and provides statutory authority to reduce the number of federal regulations.  Specifically, it requires each agency to establish a regulatory reform task force chaired by a designated regulatory reform officer.  Each task force must, among other duties:  (1) review each existing agency regulation; (2) estimate the potential cost savings of repealing or modifying each regulation, and; (3) identify regulations that are appropriate for repeal, replacement, or modification based on cost, effectiveness, and impact on employment.
The bill further provides statutory authority for the executive order prohibiting agencies from issuing a new regulation with an economic impact of at least $100 million without identifying two regulations for repeal that will offset the cost of the proposed new regulation.
Agencies also must submit a list of all planned regulatory actions for inclusion in the semiannual Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions, including:  (1) the estimated economic effect of each action, and; (2) proposed deregulatory actions to offset the cost of each proposed new regulation.  Additionally, the Office of Management and Budget must establish an annual regulatory budget for each federal agency that specifies the net allowable increase in regulatory costs for each agency during the next fiscal year.

+++ HR 484 To prohibit the use of Federal funds for the commemoration of certain former Presidents, and for other purposes. (Linda Sanchez, D-CA).  This bill may be cited as the “No Glory for Hate Act.”  It would prevent any federal symbol, monument, statue, building, or land from being named after a president who has been impeach twice by the House of Representatives.  The bill spells out several specific examples, including military bases, highways, streets, and subways.

The bill is, in itself, a testament to the Trump Derangement Syndrome which has afflicted every Democrat in the United States to some greater or lesser degree!  As such, Republicans and conservatives have a better understanding of the FACT that Democrats have absolutely NO intention of ever maintaining an amicable relationship with any conservative.  To prohibit the use of Federal funds for the commemoration of certain former Presidents, and for other purposes. (H.R. 484) – GovTrack.us

+ HR 287 FORCE Act (Maria Salazar, R-FL, full text not yet available).  This bill would prohibit the removal of Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism until Cuba satisfies certain conditions.  Introduced on 13 January 2021, it is in the first part of the legislative process.  It will most likely be passed to a committee before being possibly sent to the House as a whole.  Unfortunately, this bill will be voted down by the Democrats in the House.  Greater context can be found at the following link:  Trump Was Right: Cuba Belongs on the U.S. Terror List | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

+HR 543 and S 76 POWER Act (Yvette Herrell, R-NM and Cynthia Lummis, R-WY, respectively) This bill may be cited as “Protecting Our Wealth of Energy Resources Act.  On 27 January, Mr. Biden issued an Executive Order (EO) placing a moratorium on drilling for oil and gas on Federal lands and in Federal waters.  While the EO did not specifically ban exploration, it set up a requirement for various Federal agencies (several of which are in the Departments of Interior, Agriculture, and Energy), to review and conduct appropriate “studies” prior to issuing a lease permit.  This bill would block Mr. Biden’s authority to require such scrutiny.

Although the bill has attracted numerous sponsors in the House and Senate, the odds of passage remain low since the Democrats control both chambers.  Again, we learn elections have consequences!

+++ HR 127 Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act (Sheila Jackson-Lee, D-TX, 4 pages).  Within three months after having been signed into law, this bill requires ALL gun owners to: contact BATFE to register every firearm they own (make, model, and serial number); obtain a license for each firearm and ammunition; disclose where each firearm will be stored to pay a registration fee; disclose the names of all individuals who may have access to one’s firearms; prove they are not mentally unstable or use “controlled substances;” obtain firearms insurance, and; renew their licenses every three years.  Those found guilty of violating this law may be fined up to $10,000 per occurrence and imprisoned for not less than 15 years.  Ammunition that is .50 caliber or greater is banned under the provisions of this law.  Magazine capacity is limited to ten rounds.

+ HR 301 To amend Title 36 United States Code, to establish the composition known as “Lift Every Voice and Sing” as the National Hymn of the United States (Jim Clyburn, D-SC, text not available).  The lyrics of this song (see link below) create a de facto violation of the First Amendment in that they serve to establish an official religion in the United States.  Furthermore, the lyrics serve to further divide the People of the United States in that they appeal to the emotions of those whose may be the descendants while shaming Caucasian Americans whose ancestors most likely never owned slaves.  Ultimately, Mr. Clyburn’s bill goes against everything the Democrats seem to be clamoring for – “unity.”

+++ HR 545 No Congressional Gun Loophole Act (Jared Huffman, D-CA, text not yet available).  This bill would amend Title 40 United States Code to prevent Members of Congress and their employees from carrying firearms in the Capitol building, and for other purposes.

+ HR 466 A bill to prevent Mr. Biden from re-entering the Paris Climate Accord (Anthony Gonzalez, R-OH, text not yet available).  The bill does not yet have an official title.

Representatives who support the measure argue that re-entering the Paris Climate Accord will raise energy costs for Americans (as it did before) while allowing the biggest environmental culprits – China, India, Russia – off the hook.

In a press release, Representative Gonzalez stated:  “The Paris Climate Accord is a poorly negotiated international treaty that places an unfair burden on American households and businesses while doing next to nothing about the largest polluter in the world – China.  In other words, the accord will raise energy costs on all Americans and make us weaker against our foremost international competitor.

HR 803 Colorado Wilderness Act of 2021 (Diana DeGette, D-CO, 17 pages).  The stated purpose of this bill is to designate certain lands in the State of Colorado as components of the National Wilderness Preservation System, and for other purposes.  However, Colorado is a state known for its considerable gas and oil shale deposits and this bill would prevent drilling and recovery of those deposits.  Nice try Ms. DeGette but we’re onto you!

+HR 546 Effective Assistance of Counsel in the Digital Era Act (Hakeem Jefferies, D-NY, 2 pages).  This bill regulates monitoring of electronic communications between an incarcerated person in a Bureau of Prisons facility and that person’s attorney or other legal representative, and for other purposes.  The greatest concern is the potential for incarcerated persons to use its protections for nefarious purposes.

+HR 5 Equality Act (David Cicilline, D-RI, 23 pages).  This bill expands the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include making it a crime for an employer to discriminate against an individual based on sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

++ ++ HR 1 For the People Act of 2021 (John Sarbanes, D-MD, 611 pages).  Seldom has there been a bill that could do more damage to election integrity of the United States than this bill.  Some of the more egregious aspects include:

  • Allowing individuals to register to vote via the internet. Conceivably, any person at any location on earth could register to vote.  Of course, any individual could also register other people to vote – people in nursing homes, mental institutions, prisons, and cemeteries (Sec. 1001).
  • An individual may also capture voter’s registration data and “update” that information to make it appear said individual is in any other locations. (Sec. 1002)
  • An individual may request information be sent via email to a registered voter. While this may seem a convenient and money-saving measure, an unscrupulous individual may submit the names of compromised individuals and capture their voting identity (Sec. 1003).
  • Requirements (e.g. proof of residency and citizenship) to register to vote are relaxed (Sec. 1004).
  • States will be prohibited from requiring applicants to provide more than the last four digits of their Social Security numbers to vote (Sec. 1005).
  • Certain individuals may be automatically registered to vote. (Sec. 1012)
  • Individuals may vote on the same day they register. In other words, an individual who has never voted in a State or District may claim they have just moved to that State or District and then vote on their day of registration. (Sec. 1031)
  • States and Districts may not purge their voter registration rolls without meeting extraordinary requirements. (1014)
  • This bill allows payments and grants to organizations who may be involved in registering more voters. (Sec. 1017)

As it is with most all Federal laws and regulations, States and Districts must provide reports to the appropriate Federal agencies proving they have complied with all stipulations in this Act and be prepared to defend themselves against any claims made by individuals and organizations that they have not fully complied with this Act.  Some of the claims an individual or group may make against a State or District include:

  • “Inappropriately” challenging individuals who request to register to vote. (Sec 1201)
  • Redefining “voter intimidation” to include asking that individuals provide certain bona fides prior to being allowed to vote (Sec 1301 – 1304)
  • Significantly and permanently lowering the standards for casting provisional ballots and for voting by mail. (Sec 1601 and 1621 – 1623)

+++++ HR ____ No number provided as of yet, this bill is the House of Representatives response to Title II of the Senate Continuing Resolution 5.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Currently Unsponsored – 591 pages so far.)

With just under $1 Trillion uncommitted from the previous COVID relief bill, at the urgings of Mr. Biden, the Democrats in the House of Representatives have cobbled together another spending bill.

Analyses from economic experts claim less than 1% of the funding in this bill will actually provide help toward reducing the effects of the Wuhan virus or enable American citizens to defend themselves against the disease.

What is contained in this bill is extraordinary expenditures to benefit those regions of the country that are represented by Democrats – especially those regions from whence comes the largest donations to the Democrat Party.  It’s all about returning political favors.  Before shedding light on some of the more ridiculous projects Mr. Biden and his pals intend to finance with your tax dollars, please consider the following:

Our elected representatives – at all levels of government and in BOTH parties are spending us into oblivion.  At 8:47PM on 23 February 2021, our national debt is currently $27,946,385,000,000.  But that’s not the whole story.  If we add our country’s unfunded liabilities, the total debt rises to $82,509,807,000,000.

To put matters into context, in the year 2000, our national debt reached $10 trillion.  By the end of 2021 it will have tripled.

Our debt-to-GDP ratio currently stands at 129%.  In short, our government is spending nearly one-third more money than it takes in.  What would happen to us if we ran our household the way the government runs theirs?

Like so many third world countries that have ended up on the ash heap of history, we are on the precipice of an economic collapse – a collapse that will remove the US Dollar as the world’s reserve currency and crush the American economy in a fashion even worse than the Weimar Republic.  As you read the following, I hope you will make a commitment to contacting your elected representatives to DEMAND they not pass this bill – or any others like it – and make a commitment to NOT support ANY politician who refuses to embrace fiscal restraint.   Our government MUST embrace fiscal responsibility now!

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time (usdebtclock.org)

The following earmarks appear in the current draft of Mr. Biden’s bill:

  • $1.5 million for the Seaway International Bridge, which connects New York to Canada. This item was pushed by Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
  • $50 million for “family planning,” the majority of these funds go to Planned Parenthood, and similar non-profit organizations.
  • $852 million for AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Vista, and the National Senior Service Corps – the Corporation for National and Community Service – civic volunteer agencies. CNCS Fiscal Year 2021 Congressional Budget Justification (americorps.gov)
  • $200 million for the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
  • $270 million for the National Endowment of the Arts and the Humanities. You may recall it was funding from the National Endowment of the Arts and Humanities that gave this gift to the world.  Piss Christ – Wikipedia
  • $350 billion is to be provided to the 50 States and the District of Columbia. The formula for distribution uses the unemployment rate in the 4th Quarter of 2020 that targets distribution to states like New York and California, which had the more stringent lockdown policies and high unemployment.  States like Florida and South Dakota will receive less assistance.  Unemployment Rates for States (bls.gov)
  • $128.5 billion is earmarked for K-12 public schools which are controlled by the teachers unions. The CBO determined that most of the money will be distributed in the years 2022-2028 – long after the pandemic is over.
  • $86 billion is a handout to nearly 200 pension plans insured by the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. There are no reforms mandated for these union pension funds – not even a cessation of graft by union bosses nor reductions in donations given to Democrat political candidates.
  • $50 billion is targeted for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A portion of these funds is earmarked to reimburse up to $7000 for funeral and burial costs related to deaths attributed to the Wuhan virus but where does the rest of that $50 billion go? $7,000 reimbursement for COVID-19 funerals: Who it’s for, how to apply and other details – CNET
  • $39.6 billion is earmarked for “higher education.” This is more than three times the amount colleges and universities received under the CARES Act!  Could it be all those liberal professors are getting (another) bonus as payback for their unwavering support of Democrat politicians and the cancellation of teaching conservative principles?   America’s Colleges & Universities Awarded $12.5 Billion In Coronavirus Bailout – Who Can Get It And How Much (forbes.com)
  • $1.5 billion is destined for the pockets of Amtrak. You know, that National Railroad Passenger Corporation rail line that provides transportation services for Mr. Biden and his pals in the northeast corridor – that fiasco of a transportation company that has been forever subsidized by your tax dollars because it has NEVER turned a profit!  FYI:  In 2020, Congress appropriated a total of $3 billion.  In spite of all the “improvements” Amtrak made with that money, they still managed to lose a net of $392 million over the past three years.  https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/R/R45942/7  and Where’s The Pork? Rumor has it that Nancy Pelosi will be declared a Saint in her District.  House COVID bill includes over $100 million for controversial Silicon Valley underground rail project | Fox Business
  • Finally, in the way of truly protecting Americans from the Wuhan virus, an earmark of $10 million has been included for the purpose of preserving Native American languages. LAGNIAPPE – CHINA, OUR GREATEST EXTERNAL THREAT

The American Security Institute recently released a report and launched a campaign featuring a billboard in Times Square, to draw further attention to the industries controlled and businesses owned by the Chinese Communist Party.

So, exactly how much do they own?  Visit the following link:  China Owns US

MEDICINE – China produces 97% of all antibiotics used in the United States.  They produce 80% of all active pharmaceutical ingredients used in America drugs.  In other words, the United States is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party for practically all its supply of life-saving drugs.  See:  https://www.foxnews.com/health/

But, there’s more:  Not only do Chinese pharmaceutical companies supply 70% of the world’s acetaminophen, they also produce 90% of the world’s fentanyl – possibly the most deadly drug ever to be smuggled into our country by the Mexican drug cartels!

FOOD – In 2017, the United States imported $4.6 billion in agricultural products from China, which is also responsible for much of the global supply of soy and pea proteins that are found in nutritional supplements and artificial meats.  A Chinese firm also owns Smithfield, the world’s largest producer of pork products.  While Smithfield still claims to be a “U.S. company” and employs more than 40,000 Americans, the company was bought out by the Hong Kong-based WH Group, which has extensive holdings in U.S.-based financial institutions.

EDUCATION – Even though NO ONE in our Federal government seems to do anything about it, the Chinese Communist Party has become infamous for its thievery of U.S. intellectual property.  When President Trump tried to put a halt to it he was rebuked by the Democrats . . . and several Republicans.  Recently, U.S. authorities have discovered China is funding American university researchers who don’t always disclose those contributions.  https://foxnews.com/category/us/education  and https://campusreform.org/article?id=16780

TECHNOLOGY – The manufacturing of smartphones and other household items is almost totally dependent on China, which controls most of the rare earth minerals that make those items work.  China is also seeking to build 5G networks in the United States (and other Western countries), which would ultimately be hacked by the Chinese Communist Party, allowing them to access not only the personal information of individual subscribers but also many areas of government.  Already, it has been discovered the Chinese have installed “back doors” in their smart phones and other devices which have been connected to both privately- and government-owned computer systems.

MEDIA – Chinese firms have purchased AMC Entertainment, Legendary Entertainment, and other media companies.  Control of more than 8,000 American theaters and other media platforms allows China to project “soft power” and block unflattering depictions of the Chinese government from being produced and presented.  In other words, the Chinese will never allow these firms to film or distribute movies, documentaries, or programs that reveal the truth about the Chinese Communist Party.

According to the non-partisan economic think tank, The Paulson Institute, the American Security Institute report reveals that “Chinese firms and investors own a controlling interest in nearly 2,400 companies.”  Some of those companies include:  Cirrus Wind Energy, Complete Genomics, First International Oil, G.E. Appliances, IBM’s PC division, Riot Games, Teledyne Continental Motors, Terex Corporation, Mattituck Services, Triple H Coal, Zonare Medical Systems, Nexteer Autormotive, and Motorola Mobility.  https://paulsoninstitute.org/

The Paulson Institute report goes on to state:  “Under China’s Communist Party dictatorship, private companies are forced to bend to the government’s will.”  A recently-passed law in China requires companies to share data with Chinese communist spy agencies, if requested.  https://www.cnbc.com/201903/05/hauwei-would-have-to-give-data-to-china-government-if-asked-experts.html

The Guardian recently reported “[U]nder Xi Jinping, the Communist party has returned to being the ultimate authority in business.”  Human Rights Watch recently stated that “China is an existential threat to human rights.”  China Poses ‘Existential’ Threat to Human Rights: Report | Time

It is important to mention here that, while the U.S. grants China (and other countries) permission to buy American-based companies, China does not allow U.S. companies to operate the same way in their country.

Will Coggin, the Managing Director of the American Security Institute recently stated on Fox News:  “The first priority is to reclaim our critical supply chains so that we can become self-secure instead of reliant on the Chinese government.”  While that seems to be the “no-brainer” of the century, it is totally baffling that only President Trump realized the obvious.  Could it be the majority of Congress are either making too much money by allowing the Chinese Communist Party to run roughshod over American-owned enterprises?  Or, could it be the large financial institutions to whom a significant number of our elected “representatives” are beholden have compelled them to ignore the clear and present danger posed by China, in exchange for essential emoluments?

NATIONAL SECURITY – Only when we add up the full effects the Chinese have had on the manipulation of, and profiteering from, American businesses, intellectual property theft, the acquisition of crucial rare earth minerals, and outright espionage do we come to realize the threat China poses to our own national security.

While it is generally known that rare earth minerals are essential in the production of high-tech devices, e.g. smartphones and electric vehicles, it comes as a shock to most people when they learn the crucial role rare earth minerals play in our own defense.  For instance, each F-35 fighter plane requires 920 pounds of rare earth minerals!  China produces 80% of the world supply of rare earth minerals!   National Security | Fox News

And then, there’s the espionage factor.  One of the more clever moves by the Chinese was their ability to acquire the plans for the F-35 (and a few other U.S. military aircraft).  It is obvious the Chinese received the plans from someone well-connected with, and privy to, Top Secret information.   https://www.defenseworld.net/news/27131/After_Copying_F_35_s_Stealth__China_s_J_20_Duplicating_its_Non_Stealth_Features

ACQUISITION OF U.S. PROPERTIES – Along with acquiring controlling interests in a great number of major U.S. firms, the Chinese have also been busily buying up small businesses and, of course, U.S. real estate.  So, where did they get the money?  The answer is simple:  They got the money from the U.S. Government!

Paul Murad, President of the Nevada-based real estate firm Metroplex, recently stated:  “The Chinese have a strong foothold here in the U.S. and Chinese firms have access to what seems like infinite government lending, and because [their] country’s goal of world dominance is ingrained into the minds of their business leaders.  It means our U.S. directors have a hard task on their hands when it comes to negotiation.”  How strong is that foothold?  By some estimates (e.g. that of Milos Maricic, an international affairs expert and World Economic Forum contributor, it is estimated that China holds $150 billion in U.S. companies, however, the complexities of the laws governing such holdings makes it difficult to pin down a precise number.

China’s efforts to take over U.S. companies and steal intellectual property has not gone totally unchecked.  In May of 2020, at the urging of President Donald Trump, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA), introduced S.945 Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act.  This bill requires certain issuers of securities to establish that they are not owned or controlled by a foreign government.  Specifically, an issuer must make this certification if the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board is unable to audit specified reports because the issuer has retained a foreign public accounting firm not subject to inspection by the board.  Furthermore, if the board is unable to inspect the issuer’s public accounting firm for three consecutive years, the issuer’s securities are banned from trade on a national exchange or through other methods.  During the discussions in the Senate Finance Committee, it was revealed more than 200 foreign-owned firms (mostly owned by China) failed to mee the standards so, their stocks may be traded but U.S. investors have limited insight as to what is going on internally with these companies.  https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CRPT-111srpt176/html/CRPT-111srpt176.htm

Paul Murdad concluded his remarks by informing us that: “Chinese companies have been carrying out unchecked reverse mergers for years now, and the media [influence] has been going under the radar.  Under President Trump, the U.S. was the first to recognize their nonstop deceits, and now the rest of the world has a clearer picture of China’s ambitions.” https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/donald-trump

S.945 passed the Senate within a few weeks but Nancy Pelosi sat on the bill until December; it finally passed the House and was signed into law a few days later.

Unfortunately, it is likely this bill will be overturned by President Biden and his super majority in the House and Senate.

THE HUNDRED YEAR MARATHON – When Chairman Mao and his communists took over China in 1949, he declared that within 100 years China would rule the world.  This is what Michael Pillsbury referred to in his book as The Hundred Year Marathon. https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250081346

The West scoffed at Mao’s claims but today we see the Chinese Communists boasting that they may succeed in their goal even sooner than expected.  Now, we find ourselves being forced to ask some difficult questions, all of which focus on one thing:  How did the Chinese gain such power and influence in our country, and elsewhere around the globe?  Ultimately, there are two reasons the Chinese have succeeded:  The first reason the Chinese have succeeded rests squarely on the shoulders of the stupidly arrogant leaders in the West – not the least of it is owed to the leaders of the United States.  The second reason can be blamed on lust – lust for power, for money, and for self-indulgence.

The Chinese, as it turns out, knows what makes politicians, and other powerful people, tick even more so than they, themselves, and they have perfected their ability to groom their targets beginning very early in their careers.  The preferred weapons deployed by the Chinese include sexual and financial favors.  Once “hooked,” the Chinese use a combination of blackmail and additional emoluments to manipulate persons with power.  There are many answers that boil down to one answer.  Grooming, bribery, blackmail, treason committed by one’s own volition.
